Is it better to root the classificatory chart of clouds with their altitude or their method of generation?
As it is now, most of them are some hodge-podge of the two. On the one hand, the traditional names are easy to recognize and apply. On the other hand, updating them with contemporary knowledge of nebulogenesis has arguably been done with a rather _ad hoc_ fashion.
