Maybe my childhood memories were imprecise and impressionistic, but it seems to me that they have much less frosting now than they did in the 1980s and '90s. Not that I'm complaining about the slight loss of titanium dioxide and disodium 6-hydroxy-5-[(2-methoxy-5-methyl-4-sulfophenyl)azo]-2-naphthalenesulfonate — also known as “FD&C Red 40” on the package, — but … Are the profit margins of Stauffer Biscuit Company so thin that you consider the frosting to be extraneous? We buy them for the topping, you know. And I — for one — can taste the difference. If it makes any difference: I'd take an uncolored icing with no complaints. I think my letter needs a few more revisions.
