So, the temperatures across the world, averaged per year and collectively, are tending to get warmer. The troubles with that are, of course, the abundance of water now sitting frozen in the polar regions and the acclimation needed for ecosystems and other such things. It's not like Earth wasn't much warmer in the past.
Changes of climate stress ecosystems, requiring migrations and selective breeding. If the change is too drastic, then the genera cannot adapt rapidly enough and species become extinct.
The two major greenhouse gases are water vapor H2O and carbon dioxide CO2. Sources of heat are solar radiation and metabolic byproduct from both living organisms and combustion engines. Water vapor is, of course, a more effective greenhouse gas because it is lighter than most other gases in the atmosphere — the majority of those being nitrogen N2 and oxygen O2. However, excess CO2, which accumulates in low areas with inadequate opportunity for vegetative growth and does also ascend where temperature inversion occurs, has a detrimental effect on quality–of–life.

Transferring the polar ice to the Mohorovičić discontinuity via injection … probably will never be done.
